==Early life==
He was born in Bomkei, Near Digapahandi, Brahmapur in Ganjam district of Odisha. He is the son of Purushottam Mishra. His father was an engineer under British Govt. He completed his B.Sc in Khallikote College, Brahmapur and M.Sc in Physics from Ravenshaw College, Cuttack
